About Leia

Each LEIA hat is designed and constructed individually by artist/designer Leia Jobe. With a background in professional photography, Leia has an eye for interesting color combinations and unique, visually-pleasing textures. She pairs whimsical hues with vibrant trims to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are unique, fun, and fashion-forward.

The Origin of LEIA Hats

In late 2010, a troublesome mockingbird outside her window kept Leia awake by singing all through the night... for months. Already creatively expressive through her photography, Leia needed another outlet... particularly one that could calm her mockingbird-frayed nerves. She learned a few crochet stitches from her mother and immediately began inventing new ones, incorporating all her creative skills into tiny little hats. One year later, she had created over 100 hats. Thankfully, the mockingbird has relocated, but Leia's new passion for crocheted hats has only grown.
